Eastbound Left Lane of King Street Closed for 10 hours Sunday night and again for 10 hours Tuesday Night

ST. AUGUSTINE – Night-time closure of the left lane on eastbound King Street is scheduled for 10 hours from 8:00 p.m. Sunday Night, May 3, 2009 through 6:00 a.m. Monday morning, May 4, 2009 and again for 10 hours from 8:00 p.m. Tuesday Night, May 5, 2009 through 6:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, May 6, 2009. The closure will begin 125 feet west of Charlotte Street and will continue for one (1) block east to the intersection of Avenida Menendez.

This scheduled closure is weather permitting. The closure is necessary to place asphalt for a new roadway.

Pedestrian traffic will be rerouted to the nearest safe crosswalk or sidewalk during the closure.

The Bridge of Lions Rehabilitation project, funded by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), began in February 2005 and is expected to last approximately five years, excluding potential weather delays.
