Restricted Horizontal Channel Clearance at the Bridge of Lions

ST. AUGUSTINE – The horizontal clearance of the channel beneath the Bridge of Lions will be reduced from 79 feet, 6 inches to 65 feet beginning May 21, 2008 and continuing through the end of June 2008.

This restriction is in addition to and does not replace the scheduled channel closures during this time. A schedule of channel closures can be found on the Bridge of Lions Rehabilitation Project website at www.FDOTBridgeofLions.com .

The Bridge of Lions Rehabilitation project, funded by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), began in February 2005 and is expected to last approximately five years, excluding potential weather delays.
