Westbound Left Lane of Cathedral Place Closed for 10 hours Sunday Night and again for 10 hours Tuesday night

ST. AUGUSTINE – Night-time closure of the left lane on westbound Cathedral Place is scheduled for 10 hours from 8:00 p.m. Sunday Night, May 3, 2009 through 6:00 a.m. Monday morning, May 4, 2009 and again for 10 hours from 8:00 p.m. Tuesday Night, May 5, 2009 through 6:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, May 6, 2009. The closure will begin at the base of the Bridge of Lions and will continue for one (1) block west to the intersection of Charlotte Street.

This scheduled closure is weather permitting. The closure is necessary to place asphalt for a new roadway.

The Bridge of Lions Rehabilitation project, funded by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), began in February 2005 and is expected to last approximately five years, excluding potential weather delays.
