Channel Closures at the Bridge of Lions

ST. AUGUSTINE – Five days of daytime channel closures are scheduled August 11-15, 2008 beneath the Bridge of Lions and adjacent temporary bridge. Two openings will be provided each day during the closures. Details of the closure times and openings are as follows:

To travel through the bridge during one of the scheduled openings, mariners must radio the bridge tender on marine radio channel 9.

The Bridge of Lions Rehabilitation project, funded by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), began in February 2005 and is expected to last approximately five years, excluding potential weather delays.
