Westbound Left Lane of Cathedral Place Closed for 10 hours Wednesday Night April 1, 2009

ST. AUGUSTINE – Night-time closure of the left lane on westbound Cathedral Place is scheduled for 10 hours beginning at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday Night, April 1, 2009 and ending 6:00 a.m. Thursday morning, April 2, 2009. The closure will begin immediately west of the intersection of Avenida Menendez and will continue for one (1) block west to the intersection of Charlotte Street.

This scheduled closure is weather permitting. The back up date for this closure is the following night, Thursday, April 2,2009 if weather or other unforeseen events disrupt the scheduled closure. The closure is necessary to remove an existing drainage structure next to the roadway.

Pedestrian traffic will be rerouted to the nearest safe crosswalk or sidewalk during the closure.

The Bridge of Lions Rehabilitation project, funded by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), began in February 2005 and is expected to last approximately five years, excluding potential weather delays.
